Star Revolution Update 2

See?

I guess this is planet 'Uglo'.

A 3D sphere for a planet, and 2D blits for the UI. The most basic tech that I needed to add has been completed, but I still can’t start working on stuff specific to Star Revolution yet. Inaria suffered because I didn’t have a state machine system in my framework, so I’m going to add one. Plus, the entire code could use a rework and cleanup. So while I’m going to be working diligently on Star Revolution, I probably won’t have anything new to show for a while. Hopefully I’ll be able to burn through this busywork and get to the fun stuff, where stuff blows up soon.

Heh. Of course, it’s a joke, as Tycho’s news post points out. Having seen the feed of Greg playing it, there really isn’t anything that could change my mind about buying Oblivion at this point.

    Looking cool, Viridian!

Picked up Oblivion and played through the opening sequence (great fun!) Since my only gaming time is lunch hour, and I’ve been playing WoW with Arvee and Dave using voice chat (also great fun!) it’ll probably last me a long, long time. That’s fine with me, since I can’t imagine getting tired of it any time soon. I’m in RPG heaven! :-)

    Congrats on the new gig!!!!

Thanks! I think I’m going to really like working at Aspyr…I just wish we could have all stayed together.

We’ll get you back. All we have to do is get the Star Control liscence for the PSP.

Oh, damn. That’s a good idea anyway.
