Heh, I was already on March before I realized that maybe I shouldn’t read it while at the day job. B-)

I never played the Ultima games (except for IV, and on the NES, and for only three days as I rented it), so it is interesting to see what people did back when it was new. The first couple of games sounded tedious and not fun, but maybe the author is missing something.

No, they WERE tedious and not fun…but there wasn’t anything else :)

I can’t help but continue to read it, and in one of the posts, the author points you to a page that holds the transcripts from chats on CompuServe: http://vorlon.case.edu/%7Ezwb2/Ultima/UltimaChats.html

I just got through the first one, and the last one has Game Coding Complete’s Mike McShaffry!

    A great find, Viridian!

I decided to try and do something that I’ve been wanting to for a while now. Play the original Final Fantasy with only four white wizards. I remember this challenge came up with a few friends of mine when we were younger but I never got around to trying to do it. So I am going to give it a shot.
