Viridian Games

Viridian talks about his kids, game development, and anything else that comes to mind.

Name That Game 42!

And now we’re on a completely different kind of roll - that of British-made games where you build rooms of specific types and have little people live and work in them, whom you must keep happy. I wonder why the British seem to love games like that so much. I wonder if this means I’m secretly British, since I love games like that too.

Huh...it STILL looks like a sci-fi Dungeon Keeper.

Name and developer please! Your prize will be as much Phlebotinum as you can carry!

    Startopia, developed by Murky Foot, Published by Eidos.

    One of my favorite games, and sadly, a commercial failure.

    Correct! Escapist Magazine had a good article about Mucky Foot’s rise and fall, which you can read here.

    Well, you do like ultima….. Also, I’ve never once guessed one of these games, and most of the games I play are from the 80’s and 90’s. =_=;
