Inaria iPhone, Update 3

All subsystems are now working – indeed it is possible to play the game all the way from beginning to end. You can even save and load!

But as a lot of people suspected, the vertical layout just looked and felt bad. So I’m trying to get a horizontal layout going. Here’s a current screenshot:

I wish I could finish this project faster, but lots and lots of extraneous stuff has conspired to keep me away from it. I am hoping to have the landscape version complete by the end of this week, then spend next week adding the new content and making the demo…and then hopefully I’ll be done.

haha! You kind of did something similar to my idea. Where’s the movement controls?

Yep, I pretty much stole your idea. You’ll have to fight me to get it back. Movement controls are currently “tap and hold in the direction you want to go” but I do want to do some GUI rearranging and put a d-pad in the bottom-left.

Thats why I had the Name of the character in the button, then when you tapped on the button, it would expand the stats inside a box. It left more room on the screen. I also dunno if i would make the 4 icons into a square. speading them out more along the bottom would make it easier for fingers to hit them accurately.

Quite niftacular though. I am quite looking forward to playing this :) .
