Name That Game: The Triumphant Return!
You know what? I’m not going to let the internet spoil our fun. That would just be stupid. So once again, Name That Game!
This one had a lot in common with Crusader: No Remorse, except it had an even darker storyline.
Name and developer, please! If you win, I promise not to implant a bomb in your head and send you out on suicide missions.

It certainly does look like Crusader: No Remorse! The instant I saw it I thought of it, without even reading you comparing the two.
Afraid I have absolutely no idea what the game is.
(Managed to find this site after listening to a syndicate wars video blog of yours on youtube! It was great.)
I’ve never heard of this one at all. It does look a lot like Crusader though. Have you played it? How does it stack up against the Crusader games?
I always liked the Crusader games, myself. The controls were a bit wonky, but the games just oozed style. You could shoot people, burn them, rip their skin off, melt them in acid… Awesome.
It plays similarly to the Crusader games; similarly enough that there were grumbles around the Origin offices. But in the end, the Crusader games were better. In my completely objective, non-judgemental opinion.
