I was overweight once and I'm still kind of chubby. Do you know what helped me lose a lot of weight? Citrus fruits, especially lemon juice. The bottle's name was "The Juice of 12 Lemons", because it contained, well, the juice of 12 lemons. I'm no nutritionist or anything. I hope you'll make it, I think the lemon juice sort of abates the appetite. If you want to you could email me your weight once a day, then I could tell you to get on the ball if the figure starts moving in the wrong direction. GBGames is right, remembering what you want could be easier in the right environment. God took a loved one recently, today is exactly one month after last time she was home. You're right, it's a warning, but the good thing about a warning is it's not too late. You don't have terminal cancer, but that doesn't mean you arn't allowed to fight like you had it! Just think about it, a healthy life style is yours, you just have to want it enough and do something about it. Sure it might be painful, but if nothing was painful how could your loved ones know you really loved them? Isn't it always easy to laugh and be happy when everything is alright, even with people you don't care about. But it takes love to endure hardship, like yours right now. Endure the pain of taking on the obesity, do it for those you love because they don't want to lose you! Start eating healthier food, there's a lot of fruits that can taste really good with the right spices if you arange them in a salad.

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." - John 15:13

Endure the pain of fighting obesity, do it for your loved ones. See, if you lived a life with absolutely no problems your loved ones wouldn't know if you really loved them. But you do love them, and that's why you'll beat this obesity problem! You could email me.

Eep! If there's any advice on improving your health and losing weight in general, it's that you can't expect to do so with will power alone. A lot of people who have the best intentions in trying a diet or an exercise regime eventually stop because it's a battle of will day in and day out. "I feel exhausted after a long day at work. Do I really have to put these chips away and ride my exercise bike tonight? Can't I just treat myself just this once?"

Using your will power is like sprinting. For short bursts of activity, it's fine, but for the long haul, it's not going to work. When you use will power to lose weight over the course of weeks, months, and years, it feels like you're trying to sprint constantly.

A better way to apply it: take an hour and clean your house out of junk food and otherwise poor quality foods. Then go grocery shopping. There. Now you are surrounded by healthy food and can't be tempted with junk. Next, spend part of an evening creating dinners for the week. Now it's easy to continue eating healthy because the food is all ready to go each day.

You use will power to sprint your way to a more supportive environment. After that, it's self-discipline, otherwise known as "remembering what you want", which should be a lot easier to do in an environment that supports your goals.

Is it possible to join a group of like-minded individuals? Weight Watchers is a popular one, but even just finding other people to create a supportive group is great. Now you're not just accountable to yourselves. You are also kind of accountable to these friends.

Get your children involved. Make it a game to get them to help you by sticking to your plans to get healthier, but of course, realize what the not-so-fun stakes are.

Good luck. I'll pray for you both.

I can feel a bit of your pain. Not on the obesity front though, but it's quite similar in the essence.

It's like, despite all the warnings and the constant crappy situation, all of my attempts on fixing the problem always tend to end up in a total failure.

I wish you a good health and that you can accomplish your goal. Here, stumbled upon this website on lifehacker, maybe it will help you http://loseitorloseit.com/
